Percutaneous coronary intervention
Dr Toor is a specialist in the treatment of coronary artery disease.
He is a winner of the Royal Society of Medicine President's Medal and a finalist at the American College of Cardiology Young Investigator Award, The British Cardiovascular Society Young Investigator Award and the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society Research of the Year Award.
Training
Dr Toor completed his general and cardiology training at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, one of the largest heart attack centres in the UK. During his post-graduate training, he has received several awards including the West Midland Deanery Trainee Award (2006) and 2nd Prize at the Royal Society of Medicine Young Trainee of the Year Awards (2017).

Research
In addition to his clinical commitments, Dr Toor has been involved in research looking at the role of the immune system in heart healing after a heart attack. His research has been funded by the Welcome Trust and he was awarded a PhD from the University of Edinburgh in 2018.
