NW Hearts is proud to support the Manchester Heart Institute.
The Manchester Heart Institute provides specialist cardiology and cardiac surgical services to Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas. The MHI now includes four sites at Wythenshawe Hospital, the Manchester Royal Infirmary, North Manchester General Hospital and Trafford Hospital. The Manchester Heart Institute is now one of the largest cardiology services in the UK. The Manchester Heart Institute treats patients with heart disease from the North West of England and beyond. It strives to provide world-class care to our population. NW Hearts supports the Manchester Heart Institute in achieving this goal by funding equipment, research and education.

Wythenshawe Hospital
The NW Heart Centre at Wythenshawe was named one of the top 200 cardiac centres in the world by Newsweek Magazine. It is one of the six heart transplant centres in the UK. Exciting future plans will make Wythenshawe Hospital into the 'hub' for Greater Manchester Cardiac Services.
Manchester Royal Infirmary
The Manchester Royal Infirmary treats over 10,000 new heart patients every year. It is the local specialist centre for patients with Adult Congential Heart Disease and for cardiac disease during pregnancy.
Trafford Hospital
Trafford General Hospital was the birthplace of the NHS and is part of the Manchester Heart Institute family. Cardiac diagnostic services are going to expand at Trafford, including increased access to pacemaker checks and heart scans.
