Dr. Ainslie’s clinical focus is on all aspects of invasive cardiac electrophysiology of both simple and complex arrhythmias including AF and VT. He has a special interest in Cardiac Sarcoidosis and the use of imaging to facilitate ablations.

Training
Dr Ainslie completed his general and cardiology training in Manchester the North West of England. During his training he took time out of programme to do research and he was a awarded a prestigious BHF Research fellowship. He undertook a Clinical and Research fellowship at the Ottawa Heart Institute, in Canada’s largest Cardiac Centre.
Other
Research
Dr Ainslie has published on Cardiac MRI and pacemakers during his PhD. He has a specialist interest in Cardiac Sarcoidosis and the use of imaging in defining arrhythmia substrate.
Dr. Ainslie has a diploma in Medical education and is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education.
