The charity was previously known as the Wythenshawe Cardiology Research Fund.
Launching in 2021, NW Hearts will fund work at the Manchester Heart Institute at Wythenshawe Hospital and our partner hospitals.
Our aim is to lower the burden of heart disease of people in Greater Manchester and surrounding areas.
We will:-
research new ways of diagnosing and treating heart disease
promote excellence in practice
enhance prevention and treatment approaches, facilities and education
improve the level of care available to people with heart disease, their relatives, carers and staff.
