Dr VJ Karthikeyan, Cardiologist swapped the hospital for the running arena when he took on the Manchester 10K run last weekend, raising money for NW Hearts Charity which will support services, facilities and equipment within his own environment, Cardiac Catheter lab at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Cristina Tanner, Partnership Manager at NW Hearts Charity said “We are very grateful to Karthik for taking on this challenge, particularly on such a hot day. This fund-raising will support our commitment to improve the lives of local people living with heart disease.”
