Listen to your heart event

NW Hearts Charity was delighted to join forces with JC Foundation Trust, NW Ambulance Service and the Board of Deputies of British Jews to present an educational event at Stenecourt Synagogue pertaining to Atrial Fibrillation, Pacemakers and the signs and symptoms of a heart attack.

Over 150 attendees listened to presentations by Professor Keith Pearce and Dr Niall Campbell and had an opportunity to ask questions about their own heart health.

Susan Isaacs, Trustee of JC Foundation Trust said “This was a fitting tribute to our late Chair, Jay Chakara, who sadly lost his life to heart disease last year. His legacy must go on” Cristina Tanner, representing NW Hearts Charity said ‘The audience were very interested in what Professor Pearce and Dr Campbell were saying and have now expressed an interest in learning CPR for themselves” The Charity is now making plans to deliver community basic life-saving sessions in the area and more details will be announced in due course.
