The next Greater Manchester ICD Support Group will be taking place in Wythenshawe on Wednesday 8th July.

The session will help ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) patients and their families or carers learn more about living with an ICD and to meet others with similar experiences.

The session will include talks and the opportunity for ICD patients to ask questions that matter the most to them. Such as:

💜Downloads and checks for devices

🩷Mobile phone apps linked to devices

💜Whether devices need a broadband connection

🩷Whether it is possible to disrupt the leads

💜Sleeping positions

🩷How the device is held in place

💜Whether the whole device is changed or just the battery

🩷How ICDs are actually implanted
